SUMMARY:Roots of Liberation Training
DESCRIPTION:Roots of Liberation: A 6-month cohort immersion to gain tools of liberation for people of the global majority.\n  \nAt the completion of the 6-month cohort you will have more knowledge of self\, your purpose\, passion\, and gifts. You will gather tools for nervous system regulation and liberation. You will be able to ripple out your learnings to your family\, friends and colleagues. You will also receive a certification upon completion of this course. \n  \nTopics we will cover: \n\nAncestral healing – to disrupt generational burdens\, health issues and cultural harms.\nAfrican based somatic experiencing – trauma release movements and flows\nNeuro-physio-biology – understanding the mind\, body and nature connection.\nAnatomy – understand the functions of the nervous system\, muscular system and endocrine system.\nAnimism – learning about the ancient teachings of nature.\n8 limbs of yoga – understand the depth and science (not just the poses!)\nAlchemy/Energy – learn the techniques of quantum mechanics and elemental resourcing.\nGeomancy – learning how to set up environments to support your system.\nRest & Healing – understanding how rest is productive and the antidote to colonization.\n\n  \nScheduling Format: \nWe will meet for 6 weekends with some self-led work in between each gathering. The schedule will be: \n\nVirtual: Fridays\, 5:00pm – 8:00pm\nIn person: Saturdays\, 10:00am – 5:00pm & Sundays\, 10:00am – 3:00pm\n\n  \nMeeting Dates & Subject Outline: \nJanuary 12\, 13\, 14 – Identity; Who are you? Where do you come from? \nFebruary 9\, 10\, 11 – Geomancy & Animism \nMarch 15\, 16\, 17 – Anatomy & Neurophysiobiology \nApril 12\, 13\, 14 – Alchemy & Energy \nMay 17\, 18\, 19 – African somatics & The 8 Limbs of Yoga \nJune 21\, 22\, 23 – Rest & Healing \n  \nFinancials: \nWe are a grassroots organization committed to access and reducing barriers to liberation\, yet we still need to keep the lights on. This course’s value is $3\,000\, and a fee of $300 will be due to reserve your space.
