JUSTICE STARTS AT BIRTH

Rootead wants to empower all women, but specifically remedy the reproductive injustice in Kalamazoo, and eventually beyond. Our current infant mortality rate due to racial oppression: A Black baby dies 4 times more than White baby. *FIMIR

Rootead Provides: Birth and Postpartum Doulas, Childbirth Education; Prenatal Stress Reduction, Breastfeeding, Baby-wearing, Infant Massage Techniques, Natural Remedies for Healing and Prenatal Movement Classes. * To request a doula: go here.

BE EMBODIED

Through Holistic Arts & Science; we cultivate Emotional Intelligence, Mindfulness, Physical Health, Identity, Spirit and Expression.

We do this through: Somatics (Yoga), Theatre, Traditional Drum & Dance, Modern Dance & Creative Movement, Visual Art, Healing Arts (Reflexology & Massage), and Movement Science (Kinesiology & Anatomy).
