Rootead in Growth

Cultivating Our Future

When you donate to Rootead’s Birth Justice branch, you’re helping dismantle systemic inequities in maternal and infant care, particularly for Black and Brown women who face disproportionately high risks during pregnancy and childbirth. Your contribution directly supports programs and doulas that ensure safer, compassionate birth experiences, empowering mothers and families with resources, education, and advocacy.

Beyond childbirth, we continue to support families through the milestones with programming such as Village Playdates, Baby Cafe and Diaper Drives. These are safe, nurturing spaces where mothers can connect with each other, share resources, and receive ongoing support. A portion of your donation also provides healthy snacks for these gatherings, ensuring families are cared for holistically.

Doula Support Expansion

Allocate funds to extend the reach of our free or sliding-scale doula services, ensuring birthing individuals from marginalized communities have access to quality care, education, and advocacy during pregnancy and childbirth.

Education and Advocacy

Build more robust birth justice education programs that reach more families and healthcare providers, addressing racial disparities in maternal health and promoting equitable birth outcomes.
