Community Healing
To create community healing, Rootead utilizes intercultural experiences while also creating intentional spaces for LGBTQIA+ and BIPOC communities. Some tools used for community healing include Drum & Dance, Yoga & Meditation, and Wellness-Based programming.

Community healing is a dynamic process
that continues to evolve through experimentation and learning but, regardless of the process chosen by a community, the goal of healing is to restore a sense of balance and wellness within the victim, offender, their families and the community.

Radicle is a safe, intergenerational space for LGBTQIA+ identified people, centering QTBIPOC voices, experiences and wellness. We offer healing spaces through art and communal gatherings as an initiative of Rootead.

Black and Brown Therapy Collective
The mission of the Black and Brown Therapy Collective is to connect residents of color to therapists of color for the healing of racial trauma.
The Black and Brown Therapy Collective was created in response to community needs, through a partnership between TRHT Kalamazoo, Rootead, and local clinicians and advocates.

Due to funding constraints, we are pausing applications the Black and Brown Therapy Collective. We are saddened to have to pull the offering, however we need to take the time to assess the future of the Collective.
At this time the application is now closed, and we will no longer be accepting/referring clients. However, if you would like to connect with therapist that we recommend, you are more than welcome to view the list below and see which clinicians accept your insurance and contact them directly on your own.
